1. Consumer Guarantees (Australian Consumer Law)

Under the Australian Consumer Law, our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a “major failure” of a product. At Good Bourbons, this includes:

  • Items that arrive broken or leaking.
  • Product spoilage (e.g., oxidized or chemically tainted spirits).
  • Incorrect items sent that do not match your order.

2. Change of Mind Policy

Due to the nature of alcohol products, including temperature control requirements and tampering risks, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse. We encourage customers to review their cart carefully before completing a purchase.

3. Damaged or Faulty Goods

If your bottle arrives damaged or is faulty, please follow these steps:

  1. Report: Contact orders@goodbourbons.com within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Evidence: Provide clear photo evidence of the damage or the faulty seal.
  3. Resolution: We will provide a pre-paid return shipping label for faulty goods and issue a full refund or replacement once the item is inspected.

4. The “Unopened” Requirement

Except in cases of chemical spoilage, returns will not be accepted if the original seal, wax, or screw cap has been broken or tampered with. To be eligible for a return, the bottle must be in the same condition that you received it.

5. Age Verification & Delivery Failure

In accordance with Australian Liquor Laws, our couriers must perform an ID check at the door.

  • If the recipient cannot prove they are 18+ years of age, the courier will not leave the package.
  • Orders returned to our warehouse due to ID verification failure or “Return to Sender” will incur a $25.00 AUD restocking and administration fee.
  • Re-delivery will require a new shipping fee to be paid by the customer.

6. Refunds & Processing Time

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved Refunds: Will be processed back to your original payment method (Stripe/Square) within 3–5 business days.
  • Shipping Costs: We cover return shipping costs only for faulty or incorrect items.
